Yolanda Perez has an incredible passion for education, her love and reverence for museums have always been a significant constant in her life, even from a young age. Her early life as a nomad and fine artist give her a unique perspective that she is pleased to bring to the Edison Plaza Museum. She is eager to share that perspective and explore all connections in her educational programming. She has immense pride and spirited belief in the local Southeast Texas community.

Yolanda earned her Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University in Savannah, Georgia. Yolanda was a Museum Specialist, Educator, and Museum Experience Coordinator at the Texas Energy Museum in Beaumont, Texas for over 3 years. She was also an Art Educator at the Art Museum Of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas for over 5 years.

She is honored to educate visitors on the many inventions and innovations that Thomas Edison created and developed, his life’s work ushered in the foundation of an endless amount of modern day science and technology that we continue to depend on today.

Yolanda thanks the board of directors, many grant supporters, local Southeast Texas community, and museum guests for the privilege to steward the Edison Plaza Museum into the future.
